Before booking
Close to the sea — but which part?
Compare the route to your chosen beach, your daily plans and the return to your accommodation.
01By the main coast
For a stay centred on swimming and shorter outings.
- Best suited to
- When you want to return to your accommodation during the day.
- Main trade-off
- Ask about the exact entrance, evening noise and parking, especially in narrower streets.
How to check your address →
02A base towards the station
For arrival by train with a clearly arranged onward journey.
- Best suited to
- When relying on the railway and local movement.
- Main trade-off
- A station does not confirm a walkable route with luggage to every property.
From the train to accommodation →
03For other coves and the hinterland
For a choice in which Štrbine, Maljevik or a more active outing matters.
- Best suited to
- When you have separately confirmed transport and suitable access.
- Main trade-off
- The different beaches and Haj-Nehaj are not one mandatory continuous walking route.
Access and a vehicle for another plan →
With children or a pushchair? Check the actual route from the entrance to the beach, steps and climbs. A terrace view does not show the entire approach.
Choose according to your day
Three shores. Three access routes to check.
The main beach, Štrbine and Maljevik offer different starting points. Do not apply one bathing area's parking or conditions to another.

- Surface

Your first arrival, without rushing
Get to know the nearest coast.
Choose your second plan later.
Keep arrival day short: accommodation, the route to the bathing area and a meal break. Heritage and the climb need their own preparation.

From the station or vehicle to the entrance
Arrange unloading and the final route section, then leave your luggage before going out.
One section of the main beach
Inspect access and return. For a meal at Lungo Mare or drinks at Sky Bar, check the appropriate time.
Choosing the next day
Choose another cove or a cultural destination. Ask for the current route for Haj-Nehaj; Ratac is not a continuation of a promised promenade.
With children: choose a shorter outing with a known return; the climb and smaller coves are not compulsory on the first day.
A more active day: leave the climb for suitable weather and only after checking the route and your fitness.
Arrival and getting around each day
Confirm the final part of arrival.
Plan excursions separately.
The railway, accommodation access and route to another beach require different information.
By train to Sutomore
ŽPCG has a date search; arrange the onward journey from the station with your host.
Timetable and station →Parking
Confirm a space at the accommodation and conditions for another beach separately.
Vehicle and access →A walking outing
The main coast and climb to the fortress have different requirements; check your particular route.
